  just by knowing what will happen, that doesn't mean that we can prevent or cause something to happen.

  my knowing that does not prevent them the free will of making the choice.. it's the same with god.

  if god is not restricted to existence in the present, then the future is known by god because god indwells the future as well as the present and the past.

  Wow it seems the beleivers are making this stuff up as they go along. They know god, they know his mind, they know what he likes and don't like, they know what makes him happy or sad. Impossible, all this amounts to is wishful thinking no facts just assumptions based on past religious programming as to the image of god.

  They also know the Bible and what the Bible says about God. You can deny that the Bible is accurate, and that is fine. But it doesn't change the fact that if one believes it, it has a wealth of information about God's mind, what he likes and doesn't like, what makes Him happy or sad, etc...

  If God has forseen, before I was born, what I will choose for lunch today, is that set in stone? Is there any possibility I could ever choose something other than what he has forseen?

  I know I wasn't going to speak back, but here it goes. Middle knowledge or Molinism states that God knows all senarios and possible choices you could make. You have the freedom of choice, but of course God knows the outcome of every choice and what the outcome would have been had you made a different choice.

  Molinists support their case with Christ's statement in Matthew 11:23

  And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You will be brought down to Hades. For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.

  i've recently been informed about the belief that the genesis account of adam is not speaking about the literal first man and woman, but a metaphorical retelling about the beginning of the nation of israel.

  one of the proofs that they use is when cain kills abel and is forced to leave.

  he is concerned about a posse coming after him to avenge abel's death.

  Yes, but then how do you answer the discoveries of remains of bones and cultures that are clearly over 6000 years old? At least this view allows for that.

  Interestingly I've seen you do and say the same things to others on other threads, EP. When someone gets aggravated over your overly simple thought and lack of skillful argument, you declare yourself the winner. I'm glad you are able to comfort yourself in your intelligence that way. Well done. I prefer discussing these issues with someone that disagrees with me, but had solid reasoning, like Terry. I'll continue with them, and let you congratulate yourself on being the winner.
